I commenced piano tuition with Lucy Paris in November 2012.
As a mature student I was delighted to be offered popular and familiar music that did not include nursery rhymes.
Repetitive motor skills, such as scales are taught as well as music theory, hearing and watching Lucy play the piano, to demonstrate is truly inspirational.
Lucy's approach is welcoming, enthusiastic and encouraging. She allays any fears of stage fright with relaxed good humour.
I would highly recommend Lucy Paris School of Music.

As a professional opera singer, I came to Lucy Paris for piano lessons before moving to London.  She has an extremely solid background in all genres of music, both historically and  in understanding the expressive requirements of the eras of music. She taught me to sight read effectively  and to be able to accompany myself during home rehearsals  in the grueling task of perfecting an opera. When in Melbourne I look forward to a catch up clinic with Lucy. She is a very talented musician and teacher and is world class!

I had piano lessons with Lucy Paris for 3 years. During this time my lessons were made fun by Lucy's quirky nature and passion to teach.... Lessons were structured and well taught but Lucy is also flexible to allow individual growth and development. Lucy was/is a lovely person with a warm heart and a love of piano and music that shines through in her teaching.

I recommend Lucy Paris for piano lessons. She is awesome. I am a teenager so pretty fussy but Lucy was really enthusiastic and gave us really cool music to learn. There were concerts and medals and awards and she made the students feel really great about themselves and she had a great pass rate for exams A.M.E.B, she is the best! Highly recommend her for anyone and everyone!

JI first went to Lucy when I was 11 years old.
She taught me a lot of different things related to music, singing,
dancing and piano that I still use today.
She taught me how to be confident in front of a crowd
and as a singer/vocal coach at 22 years of age,
I am very thankful for everything that she has done for me
and helped me with throughout the years.

I had piano lessons with lucy for a number of years through out my Childhood. She took me through AMEB grades and Theory. I remember her lessons being fun and also having performance opportunities to play. We had group lessons which made theory fun during exam times and got lots of help and preparation leading up. Lucy was always professional, friendly and approachable as a teacher. I would highly recommend her teaching services!

Learning Piano was something I had always wanted to do. I fnally plucked up enough courage to give it a go. Thanks to Lucy it has been a wonderful experience. She knows just how to encourage and motivate me. She has even managed to convince me to sit my preliminary exam later this year. Thanks Lucy!

PARIS SCHOOL OF MUSIC taught my 2 sons Piano for many years and it has given them such scope for future musical endeavours! When my 16 Y/O scored an A+ we were sooooooooooo thrilled. Lucy is "second to none" in her Teaching - style, the Warrandyte ambiance is a plus for those in either in the Indoor OR Outdoor waiting rooms! We as Musicians recommend her highly to bring great potential out in the young & old!

Fabulous, welcoming atmosphere- Lucy is brilliant in her teaching for all levels, very understanding and lots of fun amongst serious playing at the same time! Absolutely love my lessons! She has a fabulous repertoire of music and definitely knows her music well.

I'm in my 40's and had some basic music knowledge from Primary School. I had always wanted to learn how to play piano but never managed to do anything about it until contacting Lucy a couple of years ago. I was nervous for my first lesson but Lucy put me at ease straightaway. She is very knowledgable and encouraging and allows you to move at your own pace. Lessons are light hearted yet focussed, you are never made to feel silly and will only receive positive encouragementThere is no pressure to take exams but I decided to give it a go. Lucy nurtured me through the whole process and receiving my first certificate was a great feeling. I have been very pleased with my progress and look forward to each lesson. If you are unsure about taking the first step to learning, give Lucy a call. You won't regret it.

Playing piano – actually music in general – can take you to places you never imagined even existed.

It’s like a secret door which opens up to another world and lets you escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Having learned various other instruments in my (very) younger years I was always intrigued by the piano but it wasn’t until my late 30’s when I decided to give it a go.

I am fortunate to have Lucy as my teacher who has guided me through my journey so far, and I am looking forward to many more years and beautiful pieces of music to come.

Lucy’s nurturing, encouraging and enthusiastic nature makes you feel welcome from the very start and her talent will definitely inspire you.  She can tailor your lessons to your needs and abilities, and she has a large repertoire of music for you to choose from – or you can bring your own.

I can only encourage you to also give it a go and let Lucy open the door for you – all you have to do is step through and be taken away on a magical journey which is music.
